The Porte du Tricot is one of two surviving fortified gates in Grignan. Dating back to the 13th century, it was raised in 1600 to accommodate a bell and clock, earning it the nickname of a belfry. The facing of the vault has been restored.
As the Festival de la Correspondance approaches, a large red feather can be seen hanging from its side, a reference to the Marquise de Sévigné and her famous correspondence...
