Cycling circuit
This loop, which can be completed over several days, depending on the number of visits you make, starts from the town of Saint-Vallier. It will enable you to discover all the facets of the Drôme des Collines, some of them hidden: its varied, gentle landscapes, between panoramic views of the Alps and intimate valleys, its gourmet know-how and its architecture of pebbles, molasse and adobe. After Chantermerle-les-Blés, marked by its remarkable Romanesque church, the route changes to the bucolic Herbasse valley and its sandy landscapes. The route passes through Saint-Donat, where you can discover its collegiate church, then skirts Lac de Champos to reach the Chambaran forest, rich in species, wildlife and wetlands.
From Roybon, in Isère, the loop overlooks the Galaure valley, with a stopover in Hauterives for a visit to the Palais Idéal, a masterpiece of art brut. Finally, the route reaches Saint-Vallier, after taking in the magnificent views over the Drôme des Collines and the Vivarais region.
