The story goes that a blind little girl recovered her sight after wetting her eyes with water from the spring that ran through the valley. This miracle was attributed to the Virgin Mary, which is why there is a miraculous fountain on the site.

Attractions include the sanctuary, small chapel and fountain. Annual pilgrimage on September 8.
