Rocher du Vellan
A signnal to the Valley of Gervanne, the Rock of Vellan (953 m high) looks down on Plan de Baix, almost 200 m below. A cross, symbolizing the reconciliation between Christians, was built on the bow of this limestone plateau.

Since the Antiquity, this plateau has been inhabited by Gauls. In the Middle Age, the site used to be a fortress which was protected by a ditch and a rampart and posessed its own chapel. Nowadays, this site is a place of meditation and posess a breathtaking panorama of the Cévennes to the high plateaux of Vercors.
