A sporty route, physical fitness and piloting are the order of the day, with a series of more or less steep ascents and descents. Panoramic views from the summit of La Garde and a downhill finish.

Point 1: Village square (km 0).

Point 2: Cemetery (43m)
Turn right, drive 2.5km on the RD 567, at the end of the climb, take the track on the left towards the pylon. Stay on the ridge until you reach Col de Fabre.

Point 3: Col de Fabre
Turn right

Point 4: La Rotas
Turn right onto the asphalt track on the way down. Pass Pied de Bedoin, staying on the main trail.

Point 5: Route de Sahune
Turn left, leaving the RD 567 in the épingl by the road opposite. Follow it to Col de Brus.

Point 6: Col de Brus
Turn right, then right again after 150m.

Point 7: La Chamade
Turn left 20m before the post.

Point 8: Col du Roux
Turn left.

Point 9: Les Plateaux
Left turn: sommet de la garde loop. Back at the plateau, fork left (steep descent).

Point 10: Chemin d'Eyroles
Turn left.

Point 11: La Garde
Continue on the track for 150m, then turn left.

Point 12: La Passerelle
Continue on the track for 150m, then turn left.

Point 13: Condorcet
Turn right towards Condorcet

Point 14: Pied Chevrier
Turn left towards Saint-Pons

Point 15: Le Col
Descend to the right, steep and technical passages, possibility of descending by road.


THE COMMUNAUTE DE COMMUNES DES BARONNIES EN DROME PROVENCALE :

- FFCT circuit rated red for muscular mountain biking (difficult) and red for VTTAE / XC-typical / for regular and experienced mountain bikers.

- road pass with 200 m vertical drop / series of off-road climbs of varying steepness

- Technical descents on the last section between Condorcet and St Ferréol.

- 10 kms of road / 6.5 kms of track / 5 kms of single track


BEFORE SETTING OFF :

- Check the weather forecast before you set off, as the routes may become dangerous in bad weather.

- Find out about the condition of the route before you leave: Buis-les-Baronnies Tourist Office (tel: 04 75 28 04 59)


- Take water, food, a small first-aid kit (double skin, strap and paracetamol), a survival blanket, a windbreaker, a whistle and use brightly-colored, reflective clothing for your safety.

- Whenever possible, don't travel alone: tell someone close to you about your itinerary and planned times, and recharge your phone battery to 100%.

- Be aware of the hunting season (generally from 01/09 to 28/02) and, if possible, inform yourself of the dates and locations of hunting drives.

- For nocturnal outings: avoid routes through grazing areas, and use headlamps suitable for outdoor use.


ON THE ROUTE :

- Respect natural and agricultural environments (no picking, etc.).

- Respect other users of the area (hunters, runners, shepherds, foresters).

- Adopt the right reflexes with guard dogs: stay calm, don't approach the herd and don't interact with the guard dog (go around the area if possible).

- Remember that in the mountains, you are always in the home of someone who accepts you: respecting private property is a guarantee of permanent authorization for passage.

- Close gates after you've passed through, and don't cross fences.

- Stay on marked trails, don't cut laces

- All sections of the trail on public roads are subject to the Highway Code, so please respect it.

- Keep all your garbage with you and leave no trace of your passage.

- No fires in the mountains. If you see a fire or suspicious smoke, call 112.
