A sacred way… (route nb2)
Unmissable : the ‘Palais Idéal du Facteur Cheval’ at Hauterives, le Lake at Champos (swimming in season or walking throughout the year), the ‘Palais Delphinal’, the ‘chapelle des Evêques’ and the cloister of the collegiate church at St Donat-sur-l’Herbasse. Visit Romans and Bourg-de-Péage, the international ‘Musée de la chaussure’ [shoes], the ‘Collégiale St-Barnard’, the ‘Jacquemart’ tower, the ‘Calvaire des Récollets’ and the ‘Musée de la Pogne’.
The + of this circuit : sacred art to be discovered at the ‘Musée d’art sacré’ at Mours-St-Eusèbe, but also in the romanesque churches (Bathernay, Miribel, Montmiral) and finally at Châteauneuf-de-Galaure (foyer de charité). Les Halles at the Grand-Serre (11th century). The architecture of the houses and walls built from river pebbles, the cave dwellings, the walnut groves (a remarkable road). The Bois des Ussiaux (adventure circuit in a forest). The living mazes of vegetation at Hauterives.
