Balade culturelle en 2cv : Buis-les-Baronnies et les vieux villages
Tourist transportOn small roads to Sainte-Jalle and its superb Romanesque church Notre-Dame-de-Beauvert, then up the montain to the Col d'Ey (718m). Then direction Buis-les-Baronnies and the Ouvèze Valley. And back to NYons via Mirabel-aux-Baronnies, Villedieu and Vinsobres.
Following the rhythm of backroads and small roads, we reach Sainte-Jalle and its superb Romanesque church of Notre-Dame-de-Beauvert, before climbing to 718 m to the Col d'Ey. From here, we switch to Buis-les-Baronnies and the Ouvèze valley, where you'll discover that many villages have moved from the heights to the valley.
We prefer to take in the old villages (Propiac, Mérindol-les-Oliveirs, Faucon, Piégon) offering magnificent views of the valley's orchards, olive groves and vineyards. There are a number of sights along the way, all the way to Mirabel-aux-Baronnies, from where, as you head towards Villedieu, the hills flatten out and the wine appellations flourish.
A visit to Vinsobres and its wine-growing region is a must, before returning to Nyons via the local paths and the outskirts of the Broche mountain.
