Discover Romans' heritage, ancient streets and giant shoes.

The route starts in the Cité de la Chaussure, then takes you near the train station to discover the Cité de la Raviole, before returning to the historic center via Rue Jacquemart. You'll see the Tour Jacquemart in front of you, then take the hill of the same name to Place Maurice Faure (market square).
From here, you'll head up Rue Pêcherie and its arts and crafts to descend a staircase dating back to the 16th century and arrive at the foot of the old tanners' houses.
You'll then walk up the quays to the majestic Collegiate Church of St Barnard. Exit via the chevet to the Place aux Herbes, in front of the Hôtel de Clérieu.
Rue Sabaton is reached via Rue des Clercs. Continue up Côte des Cordeliers, turning onto Place Jules Nadi to admire the kiosk.
Continue down Rue de la Banque to Rue St Nicolas. Walk past the Mandrin restaurant, named after the famous smuggler. Then turn left up St Antoine to reach the newly refurbished Place du Chapitre.
Turn left into Rue Bistour to reach the Musée de la Chaussure.
Continue uphill to the Rond Point de l'Europe, then turn right to reach Marques Avenue.
From here you can return to your starting point.
Along the way, you'll pass 11 monumental shoes.
