This variant is part of the "Sur les Pas des Huguenots" trail, which runs from Le Poët-Laval to Germany (1600 km). It follows the historical route of the Huguenot exile to Switzerland and Germany after the revocation of the Edict of Nantes.
This hike is neither a walk nor a hike, but a real hike of twice 6 hours with more than 1000 m of positive ascent (and 300 m of negative ascent) on a rocky trail classified "black" (difficult).
