The feudal village is perfectly restored. It is perched on a rocky spur and protected by big wall. It provides a beautiful view on the Valdaine plain up to the Rhône Valley and Ardèche.
It was once dominated by its 12th-century castle, certainly one of the most powerful and important in the region, guarding the Valdaine gorge.
Sightseeing: medieval enclosure, gate and belfry, Saint-Pierre-aux-Liens church (12th-17th centuries), Mont-Carmel chapel (12th century) at the top of the hill.
All year round, daily.
