Le musée de la chaussure hors les murs. Inspired by emblematic models exhibited at the Musée de la Chaussure, these works pay tribute to the creativity and technique of great shoemakers such as Roger Vivier, Stephane Kelian, Charles Jourdan ....
This new piece joins the first 10 monumental shoes on the merchandising itinerary created by the town in 2019.
Jean-Luc Tamisier and Sylvie Favel, commissioned by the city, are responsible for the urban scenography and pedestal design.
Christian Louboutin imagined this shoe in 1992, inspired by Andy Warhol and his graphic, colorful pop art universe.
When the design became a prototype, the sole seemed too heavy, too black and, above all, too far removed from the sketch he had imagined.
Watching his assistant paint her nails red, he spontaneously grabbed a bottle and painted the sole!
"It's as if the shoe had come to life".
Since then, every Louboutin shoe has had a red sole.
Dancers at the Folies Bergères inspired the young designer's first shoe designs.
A disciple and collaborator of bootmaker Roger Vivier, trained at Charles Jourdan in Romans, Christian Louboutin has become a key figure in the world of fashion and luxury in just a few years.
Today, he has become a symbol
