Espenel - Le paysage vu par l'historien

Espenel, from the Latin Spina: thorn, watches over the valley and its past from its rocky outcrop. Here we can see ancient medieval arched gateways, beautiful fountains, a temple and the remains of the old hilltop village burnt down by the Nazis in 1944.

The development is located on the belvedere at the top of the village.
