Ho ! Bouquet de Lavande, visit to a lavender farmer
DiscoveryAn authentic encounter with a producer who invites you into her workplace to share the secrets of the production of the "blue gold of Provence". Explanatory panels, an educational beehive, and a film projection complete your visit.
From planting to harvesting to packaging, Nathalie explains her work throughout the year. During the season, follow Nathalie in the field to watch a demonstration of cutting lavender with a sickle. On the spot, you can see the different stages of the process thanks to a film and explanatory panels.
In her shop, you will find lavender from the farm in several forms: essential oils, flowers, bouquets, handmade crafts, honey and small spelt.
Then, from the car park, go for a walk along the 2 signposted botanical paths that run alongside the farm's lavender and lavandin fields. The shortest one lasts 45 minutes and the second one 1 hour. You will be totally immersed!
During this tour in the middle of nature with the Mont Ventoux in the background, educational panels (French, English) explain the different varieties of lavender, their cultivation, their yield, and how to differentiate between lavender and lavandin. Additional panels present other local species such as the lime tree or the almond tree.
