Le château de Charmes

The Château de Charmes, still inhabited by its castellan, offers an undeniable point of interest to the itinerary. To make matters worse, it offers one of the finest views of Lac de Champos.

The start from the lake is invigorating, with hills and a few technical sections. Once you've passed the château and the village of the same name, it's a series of rolling farm tracks. At St Donat, you change banks and return on a pleasant path along the Herbasse.
