Bourdeaux lived through tragic times with the Bourelles battle.

After a service in Bezaudun on August 29, 1683, Huguenots from the "Camp de l'Eternel" marched on dragoon-occupied Bourdeaux; a bloody confrontation took place near the entrance to the town.
