The Tower, the only vestige of a feudal castle, dominates the village where you can admire a superb panorama of the Rhône Valley as far as the Vercors. The town is crossed by the wine route which allows you to discover the wines of the appellation Crozes-Hermitage

The heritage of Mercurol:
The tower: it was built at the end of the 10th century. The site has belonged to the commune since 1996.
The communal oven: In the 16th century, Seigneur Pierre de Claveyson had an oven built for his employees at his château in Blanchelaine.
In 2009, Mr Dard and Mr Ribo, winegrowers in Mercurol, donated the remains of the oven to the commune.
The church of Saint Anne: The church of Saint Anne stands proudly in the centre of the village! To visit it, climb the route des Pends.
Built around 1520, it was partly demolished and enlarged in 1820.
The Chapelle Saint Pierre: If you follow the "Heritage Trail", you'll come across the Chapelle Saint-Pierre!
It was built at the end of the 10th century.

There are a number of colour-coded signposted routes, ranging from 2 to 18 km in length, enabling you to discover the village in a different way, through the richness of its landscapes as they change with the seasons.
