During the Revolution of 1789, church property was confiscated, and the mill was sold at auction, losing its name.
At the beginning of the 19th century, the owners let it decline. In 1858, Joseph Alphonse Ferrier leased the mill and bought it, turning it into the Tour St Georges mill.
In 1881, it fell prey to fire, but Joseph Louis Ferrier rebuilt it and made it technically advanced.
In 1903, with the arrival of electricity, the mill was equipped with electric motors, followed by a hydroelectric turbine in 1925.
Despite its modernization, the Ferrier mill had to cease operations in 1984.
