Refuge d'ambel

This unguarded refuge in an old farmhouse sleeps 19. Dry toilets. A fountain 10 meters from the entrance. No heating.

A large 3-storey stone building:
- a main room with a large fireplace, 3 large tables and a 5-seater bat-flanc.
- a ladder leads up to the second floor, organized into 3 bunk beds for sleeping.
- a large downstairs room with an uninsulated double-leaf door, containing a picnic table and some spare wood. No heating in this large room.
There's a rather large stock of logs on the right-hand side under the slope, and another at the bottom next to the entrance to the large room, under cover and sometimes in the large room itself.
This refuge is very close to the Tubanet and Gardiol refuges.
The fountain is in the enclosure of the Ambel refuge.
