Just a stone's throw from the church in Comps, "Ruches du monde" invites you to discover the living bee and beekeeping traditions:
- in front of original glass hives, a beekeeper will show you fascinating moments in the social organization of bees, from the laying of the queen to the dancing of the foragers...
- a unique collection of over 200 traditional beehives from around the world. Their diversity, aesthetics and ingenuity will astonish you and take you on a journey through time and space to discover man's imagination in raising bees and harvesting honey...
- Discover the monumental statue beehive depicting Joan of Arc returning to France after a sojourn abroad.
Candle workshops for children: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10.30am to 12pm.
Tastings and sales on site, including lavender honey.
