A nice trip to the Drôme des Collines where you'll soon understand the origin of the name.
First you climb up the sandy combe de Chaloray with its steep exit. Then you'll lose yourself on trails through valleys to one of the highlights of the route, the hamlet of St Andéol and its perched chapel with panoramic views. The invitation to take a break is tempting, but there's still a long way to go. On the opposite hill, the charming village of Ratières and its imposing tower. A new valley to tumble down for a tour of the Sizay woods, so dear to Donatiens. A final climb, then back down to the start, but this time with the bottom of the combe de Chaloray and its Amazonian and Asian ambience.
