In 1986, Mireille left Marseille to set up her santon workshop in the Diois region. Mireille respects the Provencal tradition, and is inspired by the work of Dellepianne, a Marseilles illustrator of the 1930s. Her santons are original in their naiveté and simplicity. Their cheerfulness comes from the harmony of bright colors and the roundness of the characters.
Straight from pastoral stories, they recount the magic of Christmas in Provence, but also the heritage of local life in our region, such as the transhumance, the lavender picker, or the Vercors mule driver...
