Sur les Chemins de la Clairette - Un balcon sur le Haut-Diois
Pedestrian sports, CourseFacing east-west, the Serre de Corps overlooking Barnave has the good taste to offer its sunny marly slope to the winegrowers, while the charm of the village comes into its own with its stone-paved facades, narrow streets and vaulted passageways.
Take the lane opposite the entrance to the Aubergerie restaurant. It runs alongside an old sheepfold, then a new barn, and becomes a path as you pass the last house in the village. After a short descent, the path climbs the slopes of the Serre. Note the Protestant cemetery and its two cypress trees on the right, amidst the vines. After a short climb, the wide farm track turns right and remains more or less level, alternating briefly between ascents and descents. You make your way through the vineyards, with the 2758 m Grand Ferrand, the second highest peak in the Dévoluy massif, emerging from the crests of the Haut Diois, in your sights. You'll enjoy lovely views of the village clustered at the foot of the Montagne d'Aucelon, and then, after a short climb, you'll pass by a small, partly ruined cottage. Shortly afterwards, as the path bends to the right, you'll notice the slope of typical Diois marl, the ideal soil for vines. After a slight climb, you come to a crossroads of paths leading to different vineyards. Turn right down the slope between a hedge and a vineyard. At the bottom of the valley, turn right onto the track that crosses the Laye stream. The track climbs the embankment, then turns left to reach the small plateau where the village is located. At the road, turn right to return to the village.
