The first ramparts of the Vercors (route nb3)
Unmissable : 13th and 14th century fortified gate tower at Chabeuil, the magnificent Cistercian abbey at Léoncel, the medieval tower at Crest and the alleys of the old town. The roads to the Col des Limouches and Col Jérôme Cavalli. As a further option, la Combe d’Oyans (accessible on foot - climbing site) and the ‘Jardin aux oiseaux’ at Upie for families !
The + of this circuit : The contrast between plain and ‘préalpes’ hills, the panorama over the ‘plaine de Valence’ on one side and the Drôme valley on the other. the Romanesque churches of Gigors-et-Lozeron and Etoile-sur-Rhône. Beaufort-sur-Gervanne (old village with ramparts).

Tips :
Message to our camper-van friends : 3 ou 4 (if you venture as far as the Combe d’Oyans) designated ‘aires de service’ for you, either on or near the circuit. Our recommendation : the ‘aire de service’ at la Combe d’Oyans, for its situation and its amenities.
