« Where Provence begins » 3-day and 2-night trip

A journey to experience and visit the most emblematic sites in Drôme Provençale and its surroundings. Accommodation in a 3 or 4 starred hotel in Montélimar city centre. Get ready to be amazed !

Programme suggestion :

DAY 1 : have a nougat and fly

10:00 AM : discover the Arnaud Soubeyrand house, one of the oldest nougat factory in Montélimar, still operating its production in a bain-marie, in copper cauldrons since 1837.

Midday : lunch at the restaurant, set menu including starter, course, dessert, ¼ wine and coffee.

02:30 PM : guided tour to the European Museum of fighter plane with more than 25,000 square metres (5,000 undercovered), 80 legendary planes, models, jet engines, radars and costumed models from Europe, the US or the Soviet era.

05:00 PM : guided tour to discover the very heart of Montelimar, where Provence begins.

07:30 PM : dinner at the restaurant, set menu including starter, course, dessert, ¼ wine and coffee.

09:00 PM : accommodation in a 3 or 4 starred hotel including breakfast the day after.


DAY 2 : truffles, castles and wines

10:00 AM : guided tour to the Maison de la Truffe et du Tricastin (« Tricastin » = name of the area) in order to know more about the « Black Diamond », our local wintry treasure.

Midday : lunch at the restaurant, set menu including starter, course, dessert, ¼ wine and coffee.

02:30 PM : guided tour to the must-see Castle of Grignan, where famous French writer Marquise de Sévigné used to visit her daughter. Breathtaking view over the area.

04:30 PM : guided tour and wine-tasting to a local winery in Allan.

07:30 PM : dinner at the restaurant, set menu including starter, course, dessert, ¼ wine and coffee.

09:00 PM : accommodation in a 3 or 4 starred hotel including breakfast the day after.


DAY 3 : tropical reserve and cave paintings

10:00 AM : discover one of the most emblematic tourist site in the area with more than 1,000 animals and exotic plant life : a great immersive experience.

Midday : lunch at the restaurant, set menu including starter, course, dessert, ¼ wine and coffee.

04:00 PM : discover the replica of the first masterpiece of humanity ; classified as world heritage by UNESCO, 36,000 years old !

05:30 PM : end of service.
