Château des Cornillans

Château des Cornillans
26120 La Baume-Cornillane

The castle ruins are within walking distance of the village. A path climbs up to the ruins, giving you a fine view of the Valence plain and the Vercors. A small path continues along the ridge for a pleasant stroll.

These lords owned several fiefs and made alliances with the lords of Rousset and Pègue, as well as with the lords of Vinsobres. In 1562, Catherine embraced the Reformed religion and La Baume became an entirely Protestant village.
